Coach’s Logistics

Important Documents

We will need physical copies of the Final Team Roster (one per team), the Medical Release Form (one per student), and the Parent Permission Form (one per student) at check in, we also need you to have a copy of the Medical Release Form to keep with your team.

Communication with Coaches

Check-in

Teams will check in is located in Rhatigan Student Center 142 (north side of the building). Only the head coach can check in, this is the coach listed on the google form, unless you have indicted a change. You will need to bring the physical forms listed above, that we will keep. You will also need to show a photo ID to check in your team.

Housing

We will have lodging for 700 people on campus in Shocker Hall and we will share a list of area hotels via email once teams have RSVPed. You may also check out Visit Wichita for hotels in the area. Parents, please check with your coach regarding housing for the tournament. We have emailed you a list of area hotels with websites and phone numbers.

Shocker Hall is full. You can find information on room costs here for those who have reserved. Schools will be billed directly after the tournament. 

Meals

There are multiple locations to enjoy food around campus and the greater Wichita area. On campus we will offer pre purchase tickets for your convenience for multiple meals.
* The Retail location in the Rhatigan Student Center (RSC) tickets will be for a set menu which we will list in Spring 2023.
* Shocker Hall is the dining center in the ground floor of the Shocker Hall dorm. This is an all you care to eat location with multiple dining options.

There are also multiple restaurants in Braeburn Square on the East side of campus. In addition to early tickets, Shocker Hall and the retail location in RSC can be purchased on site, the retail locations will have options beyond the set menu for the meal tickets.

To purchase meal tickets for the retail locations or Shocker Hall please contact Jamie Kraisinger via jamie.kraisinger@compass-usa.com. You will need a school specific copy of your tax exempt status when you order if you are requesting your order be tax exempt.

Information on how to purchase the event tickets for the Friday and/or Saturday night Meals: order through this link. These are catered meals explained below and are different that the meal tickets you can purchase for the RSC retail locations or Shocker Hall.
* Sales tax does apply and a credit card fee will be charged. There is a check option for purchase with information on how to pay by check in your third coach’s email from 5/3/23.
Ticket sales are closed as of 5/15/2023.

* Menu is buffet style: Includes assorted buns, lettuce (Cals: 0), tomatoes (Cals: 0), pickles (Cals: 0), onions (Cals: 5), condiments (Cals: 10-
90), fresh baked cookies (Cals: 170-200) and brownies (Cals: 200). Includes Iced Tea & Iced Water. Main course: Hamburgers (Cals: 340),
veggie burgers (Cals: 280), or hot dogs (Cals: 480). Side course: Potato salad (Cals: 170) or traditional macaroni & cheese (Cals: 330)

Saturday Breakfast/Lunch-/Dinner Shocker Dining Hall in Shocker Hall; Open 6:30am-7:30pm

Saturday Lunch/Dinner – Retail locations in the RSC; Open 10am – 7pm

Saturday Dinner – Team Dinner multiple locations with ticket providing location
* two seating times: 4:30pm or 6:00pm (ticket will be tied to both location and time)
* Tickets cost $25 per person
* Menu is a build your own burrito bar: Chipotle chopped chicken, sliced grilled steak, cilantro lime rice, black beans, mixed fajita vegetables, Cinnamon & Sugar churros with caramel sauce. Toppings: Pico de gallo, house salsa, sour cream, fresh guacamole, shredded cheese, shredded romaine lettuce, fresh fried tortilla chips.

Sunday Breakfast/Lunch- Shocker Dining Hall in Shocker Hall; Open 7am-2pm

Parking

Parking on campus during tournament week is free in the visitor marked lots. Click here to link to the campus map highlighted visitor parking. If you have a bus, your parking will be in the 2W lot next to Koch Arena.

Self Schedule Events

We plan to open self-scheduling at 4:00pm Eastern (2pm Mountain/12pm Alaskan) May 8, 2023. We will use the ESUS website for self-scheduling and coaches will receive their log in information no later than Saturday May 6, 2023.

Homeroom

At check-in you will be given a homeroom for your use on Saturday. The room will not be available until Saturday morning when the buildings open and depending on the room size you may be sharing the room with another team in the other division.

Coaches’ Meeting

Friday night Coaches’ Meeting will occur directly after the Opening Ceremony in the Aetna Multi-purpose Facility in the Koch Arena. We plan for it to start at 8:15pm.
